How GARCINI MEDIA Inc. collects, uses, shares, and protects Shuq data.
Who is responsible
GARCINI MEDIA Inc., operating Shuq from Québec, Canada, is responsible for the personal information described in this policy.
Unless another person is designated in writing, the President of GARCINI MEDIA Inc. acts as the person in charge of the protection of personal information (the Privacy Officer) and is accountable for our privacy practices. Questions, access or correction requests, consent withdrawals, and complaints may be sent to the Privacy Officer using the contact details displayed on this page.
What we collect
Account details you give us: name, email, location, and the profile fields you fill in.
Marketplace activity: opportunities you accept, prospects you register, stages you move, and commissions you are paid.
Prospect details you enter when registering a lead, which are shared with the company whose listing you registered it against.
Technical and security information: authentication records, IP address, device or browser information, audit events, and a random browser identifier used to count opportunity views without storing an advertising profile.
Payment, payout, identity-verification, and tax information is collected and handled primarily by Stripe. Shuq stores the identifiers, statuses, amounts, and ledger records needed to operate billing and payouts, but does not store full card or bank-account numbers.
Why we use it
We use personal information to provide and secure accounts, operate listings and attribution, process billing and payouts, communicate transactional updates, prevent fraud, answer support requests, improve marketplace performance, and meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute obligations.
Where consent is the applicable basis for a use, you may withdraw it subject to legal and contractual restrictions and reasonable notice. Withdrawing information required to provide Shuq may prevent continued use of the affected feature.
Information about prospects
Sellers may register the business contact details of a prospect, such as name, role, company, professional email and phone number. A seller must obtain this information lawfully and may not enter sensitive information.
Shuq uses prospect information only to operate attribution and the sales relationship, shares it only with the company whose listing it was registered against, and deletes or anonymizes it when it is no longer needed. A prospect may contact the Privacy Officer to access, correct or request deletion of information about them.
What companies see
A company sees the sellers working its listings, identified by first name and the initial of their last name, the prospects they registered, and the results those produced.
Other users never see your full last name. It is shared only with Stripe, to pay you, and with GARCINI MEDIA Inc. staff who operate Shuq.
A company never sees your other listings, your total earnings across Shuq, or the notes you keep on your own deals.
What sellers see
Verified, aggregate company performance: payouts made, average payout time, close rate, and seller retention.
Sellers never see another seller's prospects or commissions.
Who receives information
We share information only as needed with the company or seller involved in a marketplace relationship, with providers that run Shuq on our behalf, with professional advisers, or with authorities when law or safety requires it. We do not sell personal information.
Our main providers are Stripe (payments, identity verification and payouts), Supabase (accounts and database), Vercel (hosting), Cloudflare (bot protection and scheduled tasks), Resend (email delivery) and, with your consent, Microsoft (Clarity audience measurement).
Our providers may process information outside Québec or Canada. Their location may make information subject to the laws and lawful access regimes of another jurisdiction. Before communicating personal information outside Québec, we assess whether it will receive adequate protection, and we limit each provider’s access to what its service requires.
Retention and security
We retain personal information only for as long as needed for the purposes above and for legal, tax, accounting, fraud-prevention, and dispute periods. Financial and audit records may remain after an account is closed when law or a legitimate dispute requires them.
We use access controls, row-level database security, encryption in transit, restricted service credentials, audit records, and operational monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security; suspected incidents are investigated and handled under applicable law.
We keep a register of confidentiality incidents. If an incident presents a risk of serious injury, we promptly notify the Commission d’accès à l’information du Québec and the persons concerned.
Shuq is intended for adults and is not directed at anyone under 18.
Your choices and rights
You can update common profile details and export your profile and deal history from settings. You may ask to access or correct personal information, withdraw consent where applicable, or complain about our handling of it by contacting the Privacy Officer.
Closing an eligible account removes or anonymizes the public profile. Records tied to money, security, legal obligations, or an unresolved marketplace relationship are retained only as required.

This is version 1.5. Seller-agreement and debit-authorization acceptances are recorded with the version and terms presented at the time of acceptance. A material future change may require a new acceptance.
